Varicocele is a condition involving the testicular veins which become distended, dilated and tortuous . These abnormal veins then produce significant heat causing damage to the testicular function thus decreasing both the hormones and the sperm production. Long term varicocele can produce permanent effects on the testicular morphology and function.
